While sailing or thinking about boating occupies most of my time, I wonder whether I'm missing out on some cool Apps on iOS or Android.
When you're not thinking about boating or boats, what apps do you regularly use for your other hobbies (including work)?
I enjoy astronomy, old movies and photos.
How about you?

Also, I use Tinyscan all the time. Photograph a document, quickly square it up and it saves as a pdf with an "email me" option to send it to other devices. Star walk, my preferred planetarium/star atlas program. Mag Free is is a sometimes handy low power magnifier. I think, along with my post on the other thread, those are the non-preloaded apps that get a fair amount of use. Nearly omitted IBird Pro, pricey but fabulous.

I Bird - seems like something I'd use a lot. Spent the fall in Miami and found I was spending part of my time outside - trying to ID bird, trees and general flora and fauna. Realize that there are a number of native species, tons of non-natives and because it was fall a lot of migrating birds. In your case as a regular snowbird yourself, you probably see more species than most.
I have TurboScan - similar to TinyScan for getting clean shots of documents. I like Dragon Dictation, Currents and Pulse for reading geeky new tech articles all in one place (from Mashable, GigaOm, FastCompany, Engaget, Gizmodo and AllThingsDig), Livestream and Ustream, PBS and TCM and Planets (astronomy).
