It's surprisingly easy to get the camera to face the right way. It points in the same direction even as you let out more kite string. There is an app for the GoPro that lets you control the camera while the kite is up and even see what the camera sees in real time.

Fun! It appears that on a broad reach your boat speed is working against keeping your kite up, especially with the camera. (Apparent wind < true wind.)
It inspired me. I have a 2 line aerobatic with plenty of lift to hang the camera with a 1-2 lb stabilizing weight. My reels can lock together to make it essentially a stable, single line flyer. Maybe I'll fly the weight this weekend for practice before adding the Pro II camera. The wifi III can wait while I develop confidence and control. Looks like fun - and still wind powered.
Very interesting perspective on several fronts. Neat idea to use the kite. Great to get a "selfie" under sail and the quality is amazingly good! Definitely food for thought!
