At the beginning of the season, I raise the genoa on the furler. It is a very difficult operation as the genoa gets stucked a couple of times during the ascent. I have to pull very hard to get it finally released and move again to the top. My question: do you know of any product that would make the sail slide easily to the top?

Mine is very tight also. I spray the bolt rope with silicone spray as it goes into the channel, spray pull repeat. It really helps.

Good idea. I was afraid the silicone would stain the fabric but maybe not if we are careful. Thanks for the suggestion.

You might want to give Sailkote a try. Its a dry lubricant that advertises its good for sail tracks.

I thought it might stain also but it didn't. I also spray it in the foil track up as far as you can reach before starting.

Excellent! I will also look up Sailkote. Hope I can find it at my local chandlery. Thanks.
