It is my pleasure to announce the 2020 Association Officer election. Each of the officer positions are available for nomination and all members are encouraged to volunteer. Note: Self-nominations are encouraged. In order to serve as officer, you must be a paid member who is an owner of a Catalina-25, Catalina-250, or Capri-25. Note: The length of service is 2-years for each office.

Russ: Can you provide potentially interested members with anything about "the lives of officers"--responsibilities, activities, time commitments,...? These are not very visible to most of us. (Obviously I'm not asking for myself--I don't qualify.)

You bring up a good point. As Commodore, I usually spend about 1-hour per week. Mostly working on membership and website issues. I certainly could spend more time.
The officers and staff meet quarterly for a 1-hour meeting. Additional meetings are called "as needed".
The other officers usually spend about 1-hour per month, in addition to the quarterly meetings.
The staff positions are worth mentioning. The Mainsheet editors coordinate and submit articles for the Mainsheet quarterly magazine. Mainsheet Association Editor, C25 Technical Editor, C250 Technical Editor, and Capri-25 Technical Editor We are always looking for Mainsheet articles.
The Webmaster is responsible for keeping the website running.
