Has anyone figured out a solution to keep water from pooling on the canvas companionway cover during heavy rain? I've coated the cover with 303 Aerospace Fabric Protector to try to improve the water repellency, but with downpours, the water just sits there and ends up getting in the cabin.

Thanks!
Ellen

I keep a cup turned upside down in the middle of mine, between the canvas and the sliding hatch. Same cup I store the lock, keys, phone, etc. and just place it down below on the galley shelf or plate holder when I first get on the boat. I've seen others use pool noodles, but I like dual purpose.

Cut an 18" long piece of swimming noodle and stick it underneath. Worked for me for 6 years.

I use the pool noodle trick as well. I have four pieces under the cover and it works perfectly.

Yep, I used a big cork key float, and sometimes a solo cup. Red of course.

Looks like we are neighbors. I actually work in Waco— or will again once Baylor reopens!

I use the noodles as well. Had to use two pieces in an X to get enough height.

I am just down the road in College Station. We should all meet up on Lake Belton sometime.
