My rope clutches are really tough to open. We're on a lake in Oklahoma so there's no salt issues. The clutch's are clean on the inside and don't slip. I'm wondering if one can put a dab of marine grease between the Cam and Clutch Handle to make them easier to open? Or is that a bad idea... Other thoughts?

I took my Spinlok clutches apart, Cleaned them then added a thin coating of grease on the bolts and cams. It made them work like new.

Thanks! I found a Spinlock maintenance video too. Did all that last evening and it's much better.
