Here is the process of installing a top loading fridge directly behind the sink. The fridge is 16"x16"x16" and is a tight squeeze to say the least. After removing the propane grill from this location, a sawzall was the tool of choice. No turning back at this point! The lid is from rparts.com and required a stepped top to accommodate the lid. Butyl tape is the agent used for sealing the lid to the form (what a great product for the mariner). The sink had to be moved slightly forward and will now be an undermount. The counter top will be installed hopefully next week and the pumping style faucet is being changed out for a slim pressurized system.

I don't want to put the propane back in and haven't decided if it is worth installing a flush mount induction unit or just have a portable cooktop available to set on the counter.

I am open to changes before everything gets permanently mounted. Thoughts or suggestions?

I have a suggestion. I live aboard and turn mine on in the spring, defrost it once during the summer and turn it off in the fall. They seem to be very long-lived. I've never had a problem. They don't use much electricity. My electric bills are small until I start running my heater or AC. If I only used the boat on weekends, I'd leave the fridge running all week. That way, it will be nice and cold when you arrive on Friday night or Saturday morning. Otherwise it takes them awhile to get cold and to chill whatever is in there.
