To All,

I received the email below from a sailing club in Alexandria VA.
I have no personal knowledge of this situation.
The Catalina-25/250 and Capri-25 Association has no interest or warranty for any item for sale.
We post these items strictly as a service to our users.

Subject: Our club's Capri 25 for sale for one dollar in Washington DC

Officers:

I am chair of the Boat Assets Committee for the Sailing Club of Washington, DC.
We have a Capri 25 that we are selling for $1 to make room for our next boat.
She passed USCG Auxiliary inspection with one exception – we can’t find her hull number.
We are still sailing her a couple times per week. But she has delamination of gelcoat from keel and leaky cabin ports.
We have no trailer but marina has travel lift for easy hoist to buyer’s trailer.
If someone wanted her for parts, there is no problem with the mast, rigging, winches, running rigging, engine mount, forestay foil.
Main is about 3 years old, plus 2 genoas.
She has VHF and engine but we would take those off unless buyer wanted to actually buy.
I think she is around 1995 but would have to check.

She is sold AS IS and WHERE IS in Alexandria VA.

The most important point for us is that buyer must sign the Bill of Sale ($1) by end of Sept.
The slip is paid through about October 15th.
Slip would probably be available to buyer for monthly or season, if buyer wants to pay the marina.
If no-one wants her by October we will have marina destroy her.

If any of your members want a free boat, please have them contact me.
We have photos and if they visited I could show the boat to an interested person.

Thanks, John

Thats actually my Brother in-law's club. I asked him about it. This is what he said:

"yup replacing her with the new Catalina 250 I told you about last weekend, Lion's Paw. it's sick - built in 2003."
