78 C25 SK ST (bolt is 1/2 in x 13 thread) upgrade the keel eye bolt to a new style 2 part offset connector. it is necessary to make the keel cut out bigger. 1. mark the cuts needed, note the original hole was drilled a little off center, a recess is cut in the starboard side to allow the "no turn" connector shoulder to go in so the bolt will line up with the existing hole. The hole was cleaned out with blaster, q tips and a thread chaser. then dried out and covered with tape. 2. the cuts were made with hand held hack saw blade. 3. test fit, remove, square up & smooth w/ slow grinder and stone, 4. when assembling *put some water sealer (4200) around top of bolt to keep water out of the hole, coat raw cast iron with anti rust POR 15, after all hooked up to cable bottom paint the keel and connector.
