After so many recommendations on this forum, I ordered a gallon of Star brite Deck Cleaner. Has anyone used Star brite on the deck with Poli Glow on the top sides? If so, did Star brite affect the Poli Glow?
I did, with no effects I can remember. PG is pretty impervious to most cleaners except their own Poli Prep that's formulated to remove it. (You want to wear rubber gloves with Poli Prep.) I guess they have another product now for stripping.

I have used both Starbrite Deck Cleaner on the deck and Polyglow on the topsides for many years and never noticed any ill effects on the topsides. The Polyglow is not easy to take off unless you utilize their own cleaner/stripper and that still takes some effort. Also, when using the Starbrite product, you scrub it on the deck and then wash it off. When washing it off, you are significantly diluting it's concentration and so that by itself, minimizes any issues with streaking, etc that you may be considering regarding the topsides.
On the other hand, utilizing Polyprep to remove stains, etc...the Polyprep , unless significantly washed off, can put streaks on adjacent Polyglow surfaces. Years ago, Poliprep was used to also remove drips and old coatings of Polyglow but these days they now have another product, believe it is called Polystrip which is used for removing Polyglow coatings. Both Polyprep and Polystip are rather strong fluids that can streak adjacent section of Polyglow unless thoroughly washed off before it dries.
Can anyone provide advice on the Poli Glow product? My 2005 250 WK has considerable oxidation and seems to soak up all the wax I can put on it with little effect.
