Well, launch day has come and gone. She's in the water at her new slip. She didn't sink and no surprises that we can't deal with. Overall, we had a great day then spent the night on her for the first time. Please see the attached pics.
The boat is still far from done, but we are happy she's in the water. We motored around the bay for a little while to get her feel then took her in to her slip. Thanks everyone and have a great day.
I will admit that before I bought the shirt I didn't know who Gene Krupa was. But I get an education every time I were it...lol. You are right Davy, that is a fairly tight fairway. thats why I took her out into the bay first to get a feel for how she maneuvers at low speeds. Practiced going close around a buoy. good sailing All.
When I bought the boat it had no windows installed. They had been removed in preparation for reseal. I chose not to use the original windows as in my opinion there are just too many ways they can leak. The available upgrade window kits are very expensive so I bought the material,(Lexan) for $172 bucks and cut them out and shaped them myself.
