cat 25 tall rig swing keel located at woodbridge sailing school. I taught lessons on her last sunday. Anyone know how i can add to the boat registry for a boat I dont own?
If it's owned by Woodbridge Sailing School, I don't know of any reason why you shouldn't be able to register it in their name. The C25 registry doesn't have any legal implications. It's just the Association's way of tracking ownership of C25s, as a matter of interest to other owners. It would be a courtesy if you asked the sailing school first, but I don't think it's necessary. It doesn't affect the actual ownership of the boat. After all, in your post, you have already identified the boat as belonging to Woodbridge Sailing School. What's the difference whether you did that in this thread or in the owners' registry? I see none.
The only concern I might have is if our software requires you to claim that you are the owner in order to register it. On principle, I think it's a bad idea to make an untrue assertion in any published document, no matter how innocuous it might seem.
