I want to purchase a C25 wing keel. I was wondering if anyone here knows the hull number of the first one produced that had the all flat (no lip) floor in the salon. I have previously owned three wing keels and one was all flat and one had the lip on the floor, and the other was a fin keel retrofit to wing keel with a lip at the mfg when they were in CA. If no one knows, I will call Catalina Yachts to try and find out.

What were the hull numbers of the 2 factory wings you owned? The changeover must have been somewhere between the two. Call the factory; they should be able to tell you when they dropped the uneven floor. My guess is sometime in 87 or 88.

My 1988 has the dropped floor. A friends 1989 has the flat floor. Both are wing keel with diesel inboard engine. My sail # is 5737 and I don't know his #.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. You will not get another chance.
I seem to recall a few late-year '88s might have gotten the flat floor, but it was essentially part of the '89+ model year, which according to our "Boat Search" began with about #5800.

I am not sure I know the difference in what you are asking since I only have experience with my 89 CAT25 which is #5820. It seems to me that the floor is flat.
I just bought a 1988 model that had the flat floor, redesigned deck, etc made for the 1989 model year. In my research, a gentleman at Catalina said they made the new model changeover with hull number 5803. The new 1989 models started production in the summer of 1988. Technically, my boat was built in 1988, but had the 1989 model changes. Hope this helps.
