Anyone purchase cushions from Seawizardmarinecanvas ? I saw on ebay them listed for $375. which seemed reasonable.
His Quote: We use Textilene Plus Fabric with a Sunbrella trim bead and dense waterproof closed-cell foam as used on most new production boats on the market today. We use a computer automated plotter to ensure a precise fit and finish on every set we make.
I saw those high density waterproof foam ones at the Annapolis boat show each year but not these ones that are in the link provided, above. These appear to have both the high density foam and a fabric over it somewhat similar to the original cushions but from description, these are waterproof.
I would like to replace my cushions. It's not necessarily a high priority but ...who knows...if this posting thread continues..I may just get tempted enough to go for it.
The original ones, the piping is coming out and has a 10" tail sticking out of one side and I have been too lazy to do anything about it. But that is minor issue. I would consider replacing my original cushions mainly because they compress so easily...seems like low density foam (or no density foam !) versus high density foam. I would desire cushions that do not give so easily when sitting on them...and these new ones with the high density waterproof (closed) foam and wrapped in fabric as well, appeal to me.
There is something to say about getting it custom split so that you can gain access to the cockpit lockers but just having some cooler cushions...yes cheaper to go that route but not my first or second choice.
Maybe, if we could do a sort of group order of 2 or more customers, maybe they would give us a discount ? If that was a possibility, that may push me over the edge to spring for them...kind of a team effort seems of interest to me.
I am also wondering if all CAT 25s have exactly the same cockpit seating dimensions - So that one size Cat25 cockpit cushions fit all years of production ?
Thats interesting -- I would expect internal changes but the cockpit bench length I would as,e would be consistent. Sooooo dimensions please so we can see what (or both) would fit!
