I relocated my C25 last year because the lake it was at never got full enough to launch it. Now the lake it is in (Texoma) is 14 plus feet over full and climbing. Currently within 8 feet of the spillway. The walkway to my dock has been underwater for more than a week. Army Corp of Engineers expect the lake to rise another 4 feet by the middle of next week due to water already in the rivers/creeks that feed it and there is 40+ percent chance of more rain in and around the water shed all next week. ACE says they currently have no plans to open the gates because of the saturation of the area below the dam. Marina has shuttle service to get to the dock but I have seen the junk floating around in a lake that has risen that fast and don't think I want to dodge that junk in my sailboat. Imagine!!!

I definitely understand. I try not to get upset when it rains for awhile because we have had years of very little moisture so it is nice to have. Rather deal with this than the alternative any day...

I have a good friend (Mike Pilgrim) that just moved his boat to Caddo Mills a few weeks ago. I think he is up to check on it this weekend. It is a South Coast 26. If you see him say hi. He is a great guy. He is on the dock in front of the Yacht Club.
The Marina I am at is also over full but not to the point we cannot walk to the boat even though half of the parking lot along the dock is under water along with the ramp I usually use.

Herb I have met Mike and his wife. They are about 4 slips from me. Very nice couple. Frank the Corp is estimating inflow at 300,000 cfs. Outflow is about 50,000 cfs. Lake went over the spillway this morning at 640 elevation. Flood pool is 617 and change. Corp estimating it will crest at 64 if there is no more rain. Got word today they expect Cedar Mills Yacht Club to be under 2 to 3 feet of water by sometime tomorrow. Checked my boat Friday and doubled up my bow and stern lines.

David, yesterday I went with Mike to his boat at Caddo Mills. We found several lines chaffed and had to redo them. Also, there the breakwater is under water and his boat is rocking and rolling in the slip. The restaurant that in normally way above the water has about five feet of water in it. To get to his boat we hand pulled a dingy across a flooded roadway and walked to the marina from there. The marina provides a boat shuttle to the docks from the waters edge.

I feel for you guys. 2010 and 2011 both flooded our marina.
The way things are looking, 2040 will flood mine--permanently.

Herb I was there Friday to double up my corner dock lines and took my tiller off. You are correct there is no protection. The Jon boat access is not there anymore and the shuttle has been moved up and towards the ship store. I have a local boat owner that is checking my boat when he checks his.
