Sure if it fits, I don't know the diameter thats needed but but a piece of aluminum or copper tubing would work also if it fits although I can see Whale making the size needed a weird diameter because they want you to buy their replacement.

Mine uses a piece of 1/2 in pvc pipe. Works out great and I made a few so I can always find one if needed.
