We took JD down to the Bay Thursday night and came back on Tuesday Morning.

Funny how you notice things when using them!

Trailer lights- got a wiring break somewhere

Trailer needs new bunk carpets

Mast Deck light looks bad (green) working but need to replace before it fails.

Stern light has a crack in it, working but...

Gas Tank Needle fell off! - New tank or new sensor thingy.Daylight View. It's ok !

Time for an oil change on the Nissan and the Suzuki

Topping lift line is green where it is secured to the mast head - easy.

Rubber caps for Swim ladder split - time to visit ACE hardware

Mast wiring connector - one of the 4 connectors has a broken screw (corroded?) connector is looking worn - replace.

Hard link bent - time for version II

Next trip is in October

Paul

There is a lot more to sailing than sailing.

FYI, after having 2 pairs crack and split over the last few years, I switched to black ones this year on the theory that the carbon black filler makes them more UV resistant. So far they've weathered much better.

FYI, I like rubber ones better than vinyl. The rubber is softer and distributes the compression over a larger area.

I went down to the boat today to pull canvas off, since I hauled out a few days ago. Before dropping the ladder, I looked over the black rubber caps very closely, and there is absolutely no sign of any UV degradation. The black ones are definitely far more UV stable than the white ones.
