Here are a couple of photos of the fresh water tank in my '89 wing keel.
The tank is leaking at the glue-joint where the round access plate was glued in.
I think it would be pretty easy to reseal if I knew what kind of adhesive sealant to use. It has to be safe for potable water, and it has to stick to that pretty slick plastic material that the tank is made of.
Dan, Email me the photos of your water tank. For some reason I can't see the photos in your post above. If no one comes up with a decent fix that works, I can swing by and 'weld' the leak for you the next time I am down in the Valley, but that won't be for a while, probably september- I tend to avoid PhoTown this time of year. I repair rotomolded poly coolers, water jugs, and kayaks at work all the time and it should be an easy fix, depending on where it is cracked. I wonder why it is leaking to begin with, does it flex? something heavy put down on it? did it freeze?.... Cheers, Scott
