But I've finally got the springtime sailing bug...
Just got a call from EPSails, something about SHIPPING me a new sail! OH yeah I forgot about that... WOOWHOO... 135, on it's way to me!!!

I've been next to silent on work on my boat this winter, as average temps have been in the 20s at home, and even with a 135,000 BTU pole barn heater, NOT happening.

Once again. EPsails, fantastic to deal with, done and shipped before my lake turned liquid again.

every sail on my boat was 30 years old or older... Last spring I bought a new main and genoa #1 (155)... this is a Genoa #2 (135). I'd like to get a dacron 94% next (heavy #3)... and a symmetrical Spin. EP makes it so that their dacron stuff isn't really a lot less expensive than their loadpath sails. That and the fleet discount which CAN be as much as 20%... and it's hard to NOT use them.

They are still pretty expensive, and I'll never see the money again. One must just realize that's just how it is. Boy is it a blast though when the boat performs well. Yep that's 8 knots.

Sails are the motor of the sailboat, so every new one is worth it.

I've had the boat to 10 knots, for less than 15 seconds though... everyone was WAY to busy to get a picture, downwind of course. Surfing! Boy what a rush... that picture above was reaching, port tack... looking at the foot of the 155.
