I have been told to ask for some advice on the c25 site on Bearing wear points on swing keel by the moderator of the sailboat owners´forum:
https://forums.sailboatowners.com/threads/bearing-wear-points-on-catalina-250-swing-keel-how-to-fix-it.1249928689/#post-1689897
The true experts on your issue are the C25 skippers and their own forum

Is it the right place for me though I am a catalina 250 owner?
Thanks a lot.

We have a separate forum for C-250-specific issues, and this is an example. The C-250 WB has a fiberglass centerboard (about 100 lb. I think), while the C-25 swing keel model has a 1500 lb. cast iron keel.

I see you found the C-250 forum. Welcome to the group!

If you don't get a quick reply, don't be discouraged. Some of our most knowledgeable members only check in here every few days. Sometimes they're on vacation or busy at work or attending to family responsibilities. Your questions are not commonplace, but I believe someone here will be able to offer a helpful reply.

Thanks to both of you. I will stick around, on the other thread.
