After all these years milking all possible use out of my ever-finicky curtain burner, I decided to go for an upgrade. I often make coffee while heading out, and sometimes cook under way, so I also wanted to maintain the gimballing of the original stove. This is what I came up with...

Took apart the original--

Saved the heavy bar, cut the stainless tabs and drilled 4 mounting holes (by far the hardest part of the project) --

Cut and mounted aluminum bar --

Got a $20 cheapo stove from the Asian market, drilled holes in the bottom and mounted it to the aluminum bar. And with the cutoff, I also fashioned and mounted a 'sea rail', which to mount pot holders --

Mounted the whole thing back in --

And made a cup of coffee --

Then put the cutting board back in. For safety, I store the fuel bottles in the little aft portside locker --
