Our C250s both have outboards. The tank is located in the fuel locker in front of the tiller.

I think our tanks are 2.5 gallons...

HAs anyone found the need to put straps inside the fuel compartment to anchor the fuel cans in this closed compartment?

Ours came with that size tank and a spare tank (about 2 gallons, I believe) that is more of an upright profile. When they are both in the fuel locker it is a very snug fit, they don't move around.

Tie downs might be required by law in some jurisdictions. My C250 had them.
