Hi all,

New owner question....

The holding tank on my Catalina 25 is full, all 14.5 gallons. It is under the forward v-berth. It looks like the waste removal port is inside the anchor locker at the bow. Does anyone have the same configuration? I am planning on having the tank pumped in the next few days and am unsure of the process. Do I need a specific tool to remove the waste port cover? Any special equipment I need on board for this?

Thanks for any help

Deck plate key. There are a few variations in form and materials, but I've happily used this for 50 years:
