Well I finally got my CDI FF2 furler removed from my sailboat after I lowered my mast.
I was having problems with the furling line guard spinning with the drum. It should be stationary but it was spinning. Something was wrong. I have seen a few people post the same thing. What I found is that inside the furler there is a c clamp ( not the best design) that clamps on the turnbuckle bolt to prevent the line guards from spinning. They c- clamp was completely loose when I took it apart, The c clamp is in the center of the furler and cannot be seen or adjusted with out complete disassembly. I took a small video for anyone interested. I put red loctite on the thrissuads and retighted them . Hoping this fixes some of my furler issues. I included a link to the video I posted on google+ . Let me know if the link works. The videos a little rough but its detailed.
