I hope you can help me out here. I may have made a terrible mistake. I have already ordered and paid for a new 135% RF headsail. And of coarse I then decided to read further about the offerings from other sail makers. Yeah, I did things backwards. My bad. So, The sail I ordered is being made from 5oz. cloth and comes with a two year warranty when most of the other sail makers are using 6.4 or 6.5oz cloth and also have a 3 year warranty. The others are also saying they use a high modulas Challenge cloth while the sail I ordered doesn't say that. I'm hoping this isn't going to turn into a "You get what you pay for" thing. Your thoughts...?
First, for the items that aren't clear or spelled out you should contact the sailmaker to confirm. 5oz is probably fine especially if you are only doing "coastal" sailing at a typically light venue then you should definitely be fine. As will everything else, if you take care of your stuff it will take care of you.
