Generally two--one for the forward sink if you have one, and one for the galley sink and icebox drains. If you have a marine head, the forward one is also plumbed to draw water for flushing, which consternates people until they learn to plug the sink drain in order to get sufficient suction at the head.
What is your vintage? Older models (pre 1983 I believe) were built with what we here call "to-hulls" rather than thru-hulls. There's a hole the hull, and a bronze pipe is threaded into the fiberglass with a "mushroom" of resin around it on the inside of the hull, with a "gate valve." There's no bronze or marelon flange on the outside of the hull, either flush or mushroom-shaped. If you have these, replacing them with proper thru-hull fittings with ball-valves should be a priority.

Besides the drains, they may have a speed transducer and a depth finder transducer originally installed thru the hull under the VBerth area. Many have gone to in hull depth depth transducer using a toilet bowl wax ring glob when a replacement depth finder or fish finder may have been installed.
