Has anyone encountered any leaks coming from the anchor locker area ? Thanks to the torrential downpours of the last few weeks I have found a leak coming in thru the bow area and underneath the v berth . Any tips on the best way to deal with it on the water ?
I did take a pic of the suspect area but not yet figured out how to post.

Have you checked the drain hole to make sure it is not blocked? I used a phillips head screw driver to ream it out periodically. Bugs like to build a dirt nest in there.

Apparently the tube in the anchor locker can leak. Here is a thread from Frank Hopper AKA "pastmember" with instructions on how to repair it:

Unfortunately, his photos don't show up in that old thread, they may be in his photo gallery though.

Mine leaked and finally traced it to the seam between hull and liner. Especially in bow light holes. I have ground any loose stuff and any paint that I could get to then used a lot of west system in the caulking gun tube. That was much easier than mixing thickener in the thin epoxy. I then gave it 2 coats of thin epoxy over all surfaces. I also did the drain tube as per Frank Hopper at the same time. Will be giving it the final test down here in Cape Coral this week. Before I made these repairs I could run a hose in the anchor locker and it never filled to over flowing even with drain tube plugged. All went in the bow under V-birth.

So did you seal the seam between hull and locker from inside / underneath ? Mine seems to be leaking from the very point of the bow which would be inline with where the nav lights come in . I'm in the situation where it would be a wet repair until fall .i wonder if 3m 5200 would repair it I've read being polyurethane it cures with moisture or if I'd be creating a bigger mess .

All of the seam repair was done inside the anchor locker. but yes I removed the bow lights because there is a seam between liner and hull there also. That seam was a major leak spot on my boat.

Mine leaked when I first got the boat. I cleaned it, sanded it, applied a layer of glass and resin with double layers at joints. After cured I painted with bed liner. So far mo more leaks. I do have to run a wire up the drain tube occasionally.

I'm thinking that will be the solution and probably installing larger drain tube . Everything is so wet at and will be for several weeks ,the repair will have to wait.

After the repairs that I did in the anchor locker that I previously described I am very happy to say that after three days of crashing through the waves in front of Ft Myers Beach that the bow area is bone dry.
