It appears that is a Finland Co
So the boat might be in Europe.

I recall they say it's in the US, and the registration numbers and sticker look like the US layout. The Finnish company has an office in Annapolis, but I don't think those pictures are from the Chesapeake--there's nowhere I can think of there with that much elevation at the shore and beyond.

Your right Dave, Rereading the ad it does say the boat is in the United States. Can't imagine the total cost involved in doing this conversion. say minimum of 8 batteries, Cutting a saildrive hole in the boat, The drive itself, wireing. Probably more than the boat is worth.

Does the Torqueedo engine recapture energy from sailing by using the motor as a generator to recharge the battery?

I would imagine that if not, one would easily be able to wire it to work that way.
