I have a lowrance transom mount in the v birth. Works great... I do get water temp, but not all that accurate.
Well, maybe half water and half air.

I have a Garmin 741 GPS. I have the inside the hull transducer connected to it. On the GPS I get direction, speed location and also the depth. I epoxied it in place. The epoxy isn't that strong, I've already moved it from one boat to another. As mentioned by another poster, there is a setting for minimum depth that triggers an alarm if you go below that depth. There is also a vertical adjustment to allow for the fact that the sensor is located about 5 inches below the water line.

Ya, but I have some canyons close by and it was neat to see it drop on the power boat it used to be on. Also probably not too accurate on fish and bottom. But I will live with it, at least it works were it counts.
