Anybody know about this brand, Aquos? Looks like it might be a Chinese import.

Mount looks interesting, and the price is attractive. I'm thinking it might be a good buy for a 5-6 hp o/b. Not too sure about putting a 9-10 hp on it. The backing board on the boat end looks interesting, too.

Plus it looks like you have to tighten a knob to hold it firmly in position. Something else to go in the drink.

You know what R&D stands for in China? Replicate & Duplicate.

Who knows what finer points they may have missed when replicating this bracket.

I found some cheaply priced tow hooks for my new-to-me pick-up truck on eBay. Item location was "China". Probably won't fit correctly and probably wrong metallurgy.

Just walk around and pick up anything, More than likely its made in China. Shoot even my American flag on my boat is made there. I'm afraid that we can't survive without their imports because we don't make anything anymore.

Hey David:
I bought this one on Amazon, works well, (bolted to the transom, opposite the ladder for storing a 2.5 HP Two stroke for a roll up tender/dingy I keep on the fore deck). I don't remember paying 139 for it, but it works well. Read the review comments on Amazon. It doesn't say, and I missed where it is made. But I have had bad luck on Made in China products. it seems that often they can make it look good, but they don't always grasp the details on what makes it useful & durable.
