We are replacing the head and discovered that the mounts are not the same dimension. How is access gained under the head to remove the old head? There is no access from either side of either bulkhead and even if I could get my hand through the waste hose hole with the hose removed there's no way to reach the nuts under the head. Looking at the picture I considered installing an inspection port like this one:

http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp?path=-1|7504|2290180|2290183& id=47488

next to the head on the horizontal surface to gain access underneath.

Has anyone else run into this problem swapping heads? I'm at a loss as to how to properly go about this.

Usually they are screws, Not bolts.

Check the threads. I just replaced my head and experienced the same thing.

Sure enough. I thought for sure it would have had bolts & nuts.

Thanks!
