Exact race by race results will be Posted later. We had some of the best match racing I've experienced in the last 6 years in all sea states and high winds. Congratulations to Jack and Mike for a superior job.

Some other nationals notes
1. Again finishing in the dark (though not quite as dark.)
2. On first Night one Phrf boat in my fleet sunk and
3. on another boat had a woman get cracked in the head with the boom and had to be taken out on a board.
4. Wind - 15 to 18 knots the first day; near 8 the second; almost nothing with an hour delay on the 3rd; Solid 15-20's with 4-6 footers on Sunday.
5. Metzel was pulled over by the coast guard.

Am I missing anything?

Suffice it to say that we were not pulled over for speeding.

Other notes, first race was just under 9 miles but the first three boats finished within about 30 seconds. Second race was a little shorter and the spread was just a bit wider.

The Saturday Blender Party helped add another dimension to the 4-6 foot rollers on Sunday morning.

It was good to sail in those seas with Jack because my boat will never see action like that on our lake.

It was a great four days of fine sailing at a great club with fun people.

A few more things -

Results are slowly getting posted at the EYC website.

I'm sure Saturday and sunday might be posted before next years Race week.

Thursday's race was in fact 7.7 miles.

This race is run every year and anybody is welcome!! so when the nationals move west (probable nothing in stone yet) All of the east coast guys can get their fix right here in Cleveland. They will give a one design start to any 6 boats.

You will notice Champagne..... on the phrf H results - all I can say is the boat needs wind - take a peak at the Sunday results if they ever get posted.
