Well I got a bunch of engine work done on my ericson, so now I have time to finally get my 89 wing renovation completed.
I got the fourth coat of bottompaint on, I hired someone to compound, buff out, and wax the entire boat for 500 bucks. Looks really good. I w ould post pics but don't know how, I guesse I'll get someone to do it for me when I finally post this boat on the for sale board. I'm removing the old Bristol Finish varnish crap with a heat gun and an old hunting knife for a scraper, that method works great. I'll finish the teak with Cetol Natural (it looks great on my Ericson)
lets see, if I sell my 25, then my Ericson, I'll have most of the money for an ericson 38. And if the market does really well.......

Hi Frank... This one will be a gem! When you list her, if you e-mail me some pix, I'll put them in a response to your listing. (I'm not related in any way to the "varnish crap". )

Hi Frank, A few of the boats around my marina have used the cetol natural and their teak looks great! That's the route I'm going as soon as I can find time to do the prep work. Might be awhile since all free time is spent sailing.

I'm curious...do you know your way around a diesel engine now? It must be quite satisfying being able to handle most issues that come up and not having to rely on an outside source.

Let me know if you need help with the Ericson 38 delivery and I'll see what the schedule looks like

Hey Don,
Great to hear from you. (Don helped me deliver my Ericson 32 across charlotte harbor)
Cetol Natural is the bomb. It goes on really easily with a cheap foam brush and self levels. No swirls or brush marks. Between coats you merely rub it down with a scotchbrite pad, clean with thinner, recoat. I finished my rails on the Ericson last spring and it still looks like new.

My depth sounder went out on my 25. I think it's because I didn't cover up the display, and the UV did it in. I may not replace it and let the new owner do it, as he/she may want a fish finder instead. I'll deduct a 100 bucks from the price. What do you think?
