Todd, You're on the right track. You image link needs to end in either .jpg or .png for the image to appear. It looks like you're linking to a presentation page or slideshow, you need to right click on the image and choose "copy image location" (or variations on that theme depending on which browser you use, the above is for Firefox). Then paste that link into your image tags like before.
It's possible the problem lies in the fact that you're using a secure server (https://...), especially if you can see the images (because we can't, or at least I can't). It looks like you're linking to a JPEG now, but it's just showing up as text on my end.
Thanks Dave - the picture shows up in the post but not in the signature. I'm using google (used to be picasa now google+) can you suggest a better photo host?
Actually, I just switched to G+ from ShutterFly and I'm using Picasa to manipulate them. Shutterfly eventually shrinks your photos which sucks if you have a how-to put together on here and they become difficult to follow with tiny pictures.
I'm seeing the photo in the body of your post, but still all text in the sig.
Interesting - my signature section is dynamic across all posts, when I changed the link from google to flikr it applied the change to all previous posts.
I'm going to let it go for know - thanks again for your help David!
