I guess you starve on a cloudy day. Seriously where is the grate?
It's suspended above the reflectors where the suns energy is focused. One pan at a time. There's a larger version and some other pans you can use to cook more food at once.
Says it will work from 1 hour after the sun rises to 1 hour before the sun sets.
I didn't read the whole website but I'm betting one could figure out how to bake with it. Maybe even cook a steak if there's a way to catch the drippings.
These days just put the meal on the dashboard of your car - will cook in no time!

In it was a detailed letter to the editor about a nonegrenarian named Sam Erwin who developed a solar powered stove called the StarFlower that has 8-12 convex petal-shaped adjustable mirrors with a glass enclosed cooking platform that can be used to roast, bake and boil your food.
Yes, you'd better have some PB&J sandwiches for backup on a rainy day, but you can prepare meats, veggies and diced potatoes in/on this thing.
And you can't grill up a dozen burgers and dogs, but more often than not there are just 2-3 of us aboard our smallish boats. Between something like the Flower and a single burner butane stove, you'd be surprised how much you can potentially prepare for a small group.
Last year I made sliced boiled potatoes with parsley and butter and succotash on the butane stove, and my son grilled two 8oz steaks on a 12" round charcoal grill.
