How thick is the plywood in the deck under the mast step?
You should be able to find that by removing one of the mast-step bolts and measuring. If you're looking for a clear cut answer, you're probably out of luck. The deck thicknesses on these boats ranges from 1/2" to 1-1/2", on the same boat.
If i were to guess, the core may be some standard number. Maybe 1/2" or 3/4". Then whatever thickness the glass is.

I had to remove my mast step because of a leak in the electrical connector. After digging out all the bad wood I used a piece of teak for spacer from compression post to bottom of fiberglass deck. If I remember it was about 3/4" thick at that location.
