Wind was light and I was just bobbing downwind. I was ready to turn around and go home. That's when I thought: hey ,now would be the perfect time to try my spinnaker single handed. No problems except for a twist on the initial hoist. Guess I didn't pacth it right last time.
speed wing on wing was about 2 ddw . went up to 3.5 on broad reach with the chute.
Hoisting is never the problem (unless you get a "Mae West"), it's keeping it flying! It's more than worthy of a "well done" and congratulations though.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. You will not get another chance.
Here's a link to a video of a guy hoisting and gybing his boat singlehanded with a symmetrical spinnaker. He admits to not being an expert, but IMO he does a pretty good job of it. Notice, he's completely un-hurried. (Although, he should prolly rig his shorts with an appropriate size belt. ) https://youtu.be/q0nThEv3VSY

saw this on another site for the drop, looks easier than what i did. "In order to drop the spinnaker the guy and halyard are released. The sail is pulled in under the boom with the sheet and then by grabbing the sail itself."
