We have these on board currently, they work well. Down for temporary water, and up for hands free flow.

Is your objective drinking from your water tank? If so, I can't comment. My pressure system uses an ordinary bathroom faucet, but I've never drunk from any of my on-board water tanks, and a filter wouldn't change that.

This is one of the best upgrades I've ever done. I like that kit with the filter, good price. I disinfected my tank with chlorine and use treated water to fill it so I do use it for drinking water. Unfortunately it doesn't taste that good but I think that's the local marina water, maybe a filter would help. I never seem to bring enough water bottles, they compete with beer for space in the cooler .
