I have put a roller on the cable of the swing keel where it turns up into the pipe in order to keep the cable from cutting into the fiberglass. The rollers have collapsed twice because there is not a flat surface to secure it properly. There was never any rollers there before, so is my fear of cutting into the fiberglass unfounded, or does anyone have any suggestions.

The cartridge insert with turning ball available from Catalina direct and also from the Catalina Factory is definitely the way to go here. Seriously engineered and will not collapse!
